For their inability to attend the meeting even though they express the desire to. He then followed by saying God has a purpose for bringing all of us to where we are today. He chooses you to be here for a purpose either legal or illegal. We are here today to put our heads together, to have a vision and define our goals. God has endowed us with the ability to put our thoughts into action, and strategies. We receive this ability from the creative act of God.
We have needs out there, which we may not even come up with a solutions to all but we need to start doing something by identifying those needs, talking about them and priorities them according to there importance. We should not in this meeting be like a “Speed boat” that speeds up at high speed at the beginning and dies quickly at the end i.e. we should not just discuss out of emotions for the moment and then forget after we are done with this meeting. We are about to launch a rocket; we therefore need a strong base and a launching path. Approximately we are around 42 people in the State/Canada (minors including). It’s a good number. But it’s more than just having the people rather the WILL to do it.
There are five key things we need for the organization to be successful:
- The people
2. Will
3. Guidance
4. Leadership
5. Communication
We have the People and the Will which I can see in the eyes of all of you and through my discussion with the entire group. We will have rules and regulation to guide us and appoint leaders to lead. Communication will be the most important key in the successful outcome of the organization, without which we will find it difficult to function. The leaders we will appoint will help to bridge the gap between all members. It’s also a challenge for all members to get to know one another and establish communication link with one other.
Do no belittle the days of small beginning. Beware that it is not going to be hassle free. There will be lots of opposition and hurdles on the way even from our people we are trying to help. Let’s be willing to sacrifice our time and limited resources and the reward will be indispensable. He concluded by thanking everyone for coming and hope we will have a meaningful deliberation.
Self Introduction and shared expectation
After the welcome address the need for all of us to introduce ourselves arises so that we will get to know one another better and during which every one share his/her expectation of what he/she expect to see out of this meeting and organization as a whole. Among those expectations are:
– The need of learning Tangale language and using it to communicate verbally and also inculcating
It in our school curriculum back home
– Building relationships with one another: Fellowship very important
– Helping your people at home to develop their talents/potentials either sports or educational.
– AIDS awareness
– Help home in the best way we can to improve their life
– Help out with social programs : Welfare
– Help to provide work opportunities for our people who need to use their education
– Library, Computer School/Center, Recreational center
– Scholarship program

The name is still open to discussion and suggestion and the officials will work on all of them to come up will a final name putting into consideration the political, and legal implication both here and at home. They should also consider that for efficiency the organization would want to be independent in its dealings and operation.
