TANGALE COMMUNITY OVERSEAS
On behalf of the leadership of the Tangale Community Overseas (TCO), I warmly extend Christmas greetings to all Tangale sons and daughters living across the diaspora, as well as to our people at home. This season offers us a special opportunity to reach out in goodwill, share in the joy of Christmas, and reaffirm the bonds that unite us as one Tangale nation.
Christmas is a time of celebration and reflection, marked by the values of love, peace, humility and sacrifice. These values are deeply rooted in Tangale tradition and remain essential to our collective life as a people. For Tangale sons and daughters living outside our homeland, Christmas also provides a moment to pause, reflect on our journey, and renew our connection to our culture, language and shared heritage.
As Tangale people, we belong to Nigeria’s Middle Belt, a region distinguished by its cultural diversity, rich traditions and long-standing history of peaceful coexistence. In recent years, communities across the Middle Belt, including Tangale areas, have faced significant challenges. At such times, the message of Christmas reminds us of the importance of unity, resilience and mutual support. It calls on us to stand together, uphold our identity and work collectively for peace, justice and the dignity of our people.
The Tangale diaspora continues to play an important role in sustaining community life and development at home. Through education, advocacy, cultural preservation and social support, Tangale sons and daughters abroad remain actively engaged in the progress of our homeland. The continued emphasis on education and youth development reflects our shared belief that the future of the Tangale nation rests with the next generation.
The Tangale Community Overseas remains committed to strengthening unity among Tangale people across the world, encouraging active participation in community affairs and serving as a bridge between the diaspora and the homeland. We believe that through cooperation, shared responsibility and respect for our cultural institutions, we can contribute meaningfully to the growth and stability of our communities.
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and prepare to enter a new year, we are reminded of the need for hope and renewal. The New Year presents an opportunity to deepen our unity, expand our contributions to community development and renew our commitment to peace and progress. May the coming year bring good health, stability and greater opportunities to Tangale families everywhere.
I wish all Tangale sons and daughters a joyful Christmas celebration and a New Year filled with peace, prosperity and renewed purpose.
Signed:
Andele Tadi
President, Tangale Community Overseas (TCO)
